What if there is a minority of Jews, Muslims, Zoroastrians, or Hindus living in that town?

"Majority rule" is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner.

Maybe the sheep ought to move to another town? The Founding Fathers believed a local community should be able to legislate itself without the feds telling them how to live.

Grow a thicker skin, (oohh, it make me ill, oooh), good grief, get over yourself...Maybe the religious, since homosexuality offends them, should go out and start bashing their skulls in with a baseball bat like back in the old days...I don't agree with their life style and it is not for me, however, you don't see me going out and trying to get them removed from society because I may find them kissing in public offensive...Live and let live...If this is what you want to do, go ahead and do it...Leave me out of it...If you are going to harass people for wanting to honor someone with a cross on public property then I think the religious right should be able to go out and bash some sculls of homosexuals...Fair is Fair...What is good for the goose is good for the gander...

That was the vision of the founding fathers. Don't like it? Change it. We can change our Constitution.

Actually no. See there's this thing called the Constitution that puts restrictions on majority rule. If a majority wants slavery, too bad. It's unconstitutional.

We see why the far right has contempt for the Supreme Court.

If you want to get rid of the Establishment Clause, you are welcome to try.

Trust me they can vote slavery back in...The only thing that cannot be changed in the constitution is the bill of rights...The abolishment of slavery is an article to the constitution and it can be changed...
