I'd say they could get a pretty long season in NY. From Spring well into the Fall. Go home to the PR or DR for the winter.

Nope you are wrong. Go set up on Northern Blvd in Nassau County, or Port Washington Blvd. with a sign that says 10 dollar car wash. You will get a few customers before the locals call the cops and shut you down.

Nice neighborhoods are nice because the locals don't tolerate 3rd world ghetto crap.

What I'm trying to say is, if there wasn't a demand for it, they wouldn't be making any money. Why would anybody go to a random in the street to wash their car. This is the problem, nobody wants to dig deep enough to identify the true problem.

The truth is, money runs you all. As long as you're getting yours who cares. So stop complaining, take whatever duckets you get, and be happy

I'm from the squeegee era

Nobody let those guys touch their car back in the day (my pops sure did not!)

How and why are these car washers making any money in 2023, are u serious

Who in their right mind is paying a random on the street

How and why are they managing to even make a dollar

Ya'll better stop with all this tunnel vision

You guys are only seeing things one way

But when money controls your life, that's what happens

Then the typical "you guys care about the wrong thing" response.

Oh my god kill me. Did you not read the article, look at the pictures? This is not some random squeegee men. They are basically mobile detailing rigs. From the looks of it they give a pretty good wash.

Why is anybody going to a random car washer on the street

They should not be making any money at all

They exist because clearly they are making money somehow

What's not to get

Theoretically they shouldn't even get the few
