Thanks, Muonic. If you haven't been back in awhile, you won't recognize the place. Unfortunately, "progress" drove its bulldozer thru here with a vengeance.
I'll see if I can dig up some old pictures. The last time I was there was in the early 1970's. When I first started going there (early 60's), there weren't any condo's, and the pier was open to the public. And the pavilion was great! As I recall (and I'm really reaching here), Lachicotte's was a small mom and pop grocery store at the corner of the north causeway, and Ocean Hwy. Yeah, it's been a while.
I looked high and low but couldn't find them. I was, however, sitting next to a woman sporting black socks. You missed a beautiful day, but thanks for saving us all from that ivy.
Here are a some of my dad's sunrise pics. All but the last are from this morning, the other from yesterday.

Those are awesome pictures. Thanks for sharing.
It would not allow me to rep you again so heres a big ole rep!
Picture quality is not great, but what the heck, they're 48 year old snapshots. These are from our vacation on Pawleys Island, back in 1963. I was 6 years old, at the time.

That's me, fishing in the creek
On the beach, with my dad, and our dog
This is my favorite fishing trip of all times. A relative lived on the Island, so naturally we would stop by and visit when we were there on vacation. He offered to get his boat out and take my dad and me flounder fishing in the creek. Couldn't turn down that offer. And I caught the big one.
Awesome pics! Those look like the area that's now known as Bird's Nest, near the Southern end of the island. The flounder photo looks like the location where I frequently launch a kayak - there's a boat landing there now, but my kayak has never seen any flounder quite like that. The good old days... Thanks for sharing.
Great photos Muonic, thanks for sharing. And the photo of you holding the fish does look like the yard next to the last house on Pritchard St next to the boat landing, although the houses in the background have changed considerably!
My husband took this picture the other night with his phone. I love the look of it, so thought I'd share.
