Thanks, and yes neecie, I give you "full license" to steal the photo. It was an interesting morning, and lighting was definitely challenging for photographs. Heavy fog initially, then light going from full shade to full sun almost minute-to-minute, as the fog kept rolling in and rolling out. A neat morning for a quiet stroll, but much frustration for the camera operator.
Nice shot, PD. I spent all of my vacations on Pawleys Island, when I was a kid. My family has strong ties to the low country, although I've personally never lived in SC. I do love that area, though.

Thanks, Muonic. If you haven't been back in awhile, you won't recognize the place. Unfortunately, "progress" drove its bulldozer thru here with a vengeance.

Great pics, neecie.Wish I'd been over there. Spent the whole day digging out well-entrenched, fast-expanding English ivy, threatening to overtake the universe. Where are all those plaid shorted, cell totin', highsoxers you luv so much??

I looked high and low but couldn't find them. I was, however, sitting next to a woman sporting black socks. You missed a beautiful day, but thanks for saving us all from that ivy.
Here are a some of my dad's sunrise pics. All but the last are from this morning, the other from yesterday.
