Are you asking about the one in Murrells Inlet or Myrtle Beach on 501?

Most likely the one on 501. The last time I was driving thru there, and it's been a couple months, there were no homes being built. It is a 'pre-development' community where you buy your lot with no time frame to build. Choose your builder, build when you're ready... that type thing.

One thing to consider about that particular location, and not necessarily THAT development, is the traffic coming on and off of 501. It will only get heavier as time goes by... especially with the new Wal Mart being built right down the road.

There are many other developments in the Carolina Forest area that may interest you. It really depends on what type home you're looking for... brick, vinyl, tract builder, custom, townhome, etc...

Feel free to PM if you have specific questions.

Wild Wing Plantation is a very upscale neighborhood in the Myrtle Beach area. The amenity center is second to none. They have 3 or 4 pools and a number of wet play areas for the kids. I think they have a small waterslide for the kids as well. Wild Wing used to have 3 golf courses but they are developing the courses but are leaving 27 holes for golf with a beautiful clubhouse and pro shop with a resturant etc.and challenging courses. the development is a couple of years old and the developers have been in the area for a long time and have successfully developed many other neighborhoods. Plantation Lakes and Cypress River Plantation are two in the same area that were very successful. The neighborhood is both for retirees and families. I live in little river (about 20 -30miles away) and was thinking of moving to wild wing but plans have changed for now.

It is in pre development stages, but considered a family place. My daughter, husband and four children also bought a lot. The amenity center, golf course, pools, etc are there. The slide is fairly large for the children. There is a play area, tennis area, etc. being built. From what we understand, people have submitted their plans and homess should be going up this summer. We hope to build in 2 years or less.

Red face Relocating from NY

My family and I are also interested in Wild Wing Plantation. I have 3 young boys. How are the schools? I heard they were good. Does anyone know of any neighborhoods in Little River that are family friendly?

The high school there just had a fatal shooting last week after a student attacked/stabbed a police officer on duty there (evidently he threatened to kill his whole class). The school itself is pretty decent. The middle school is "ok". I know nothing about the elementary school. I found St. James schools to be much better than Carolina Forest.
