Yes. There will be a live stream, but not during the first week or so of the Station's return to the air. First, we'll have the FM signal up at 94.9. Next will come web and streaming. Studios are located in the WNMB building in the OD section of North Myrtle Beach. All studio equipment has been installed and functioning. Right now we are checking out and tuning the FM transmitter. Target for on air is still Wednesday or Thursday of this week.
I'm so excited and thrilled that 94.9 The SURF will be back on the air today or tomorrow!!! I live in Greensboro NC, and listened to The Surf every day at work. When Ted Bell went to WNMB 900AM, I listened to his show, which progressively became a fantastic show, including his Beach Music Cafe all request show just like on The Surf. This is awesome news!!! Now, if they can just get the internet live stream up and running.....
The 94.9 you are gettig online is some station that took the old stream's place on whatever server or service that was used formerly by the Surf. We will begin streaming next week. While we rebuid the station website, you will be able to access the Surf stream at warpradio.com
94.9 The Surf is now on the air. Bill Norman will do mornings, Ted Bell is mid-days, and a long time well known and loved Myrtle Beach radio personality will be on the afternoons beginning this coming Tuesday. It's "The Deacon".
Hip-hip, Hooray!!!! I'm listening online again! SOOOOOOOO happy! Even tho there were other "beach music" stations, they simply can't hold a candle to 94.9!
Welcome Back!!!!!!
the Surf website is up (at least its beginning). www.949thesurf.com
it has a link to the live "stream" , and it has an e-mail link so you can send your requests or let us know you are listening.
I'm back to streaming in Jacksonville, FL, and LOVING it!!! Thank goodness 94.9 is back! Losing the station was like losing a best friend - but now they have returned.... See you soon at FH's in N. Myrtle Beach - in the meantime we're listening!
