That's getting a little too warm for my taste.
At least there should be some strong storms to cool us off.

I wish I could go up to Alaska for the summer.

Would you say you get more severe weather than in Vermont?
We want to leave VT but not for somewhere with MORE ice and snow. You guys tend to get more blizzards, don't you?

Lately you have received more snow on the east coast then we have here in MN. We don't often get ice storms, maybe once every few years at the most. Yes, we will get the occasional blizzard but we also don't have the power outages that our friends in VT/Maine seem to experience with them. We are also better prepared here to deal with large snowfalls so usually the roads are cleared within a day at most.

1. Depends on what brand your jacket, boots and stocking cap is.
2. Snowblow the field, get a good hoodie, wear long underwear under your jeans, and grab your tennis shoes and buckskin gloves and you're good to go. You wear tennis shoes instead of cleats in the winter because the field doesn't have that much give to it in the winter. But then again, it's impossible to find anyplace to play in the wintertime because most of the parks are flooded with ice for hockey.
3. 'Bout a 5 to 10 degree temp difference.
6. Flies, no. Skeeters.. well, they are our state bird.

How do you play football in the cold?
Is this a serious question?

Playing football in the snow is incredibly fun and incredibly simple. Wear a good jacket/hoodie and hat and gloves and possibly snow pants though I've never worn snowpants when I've played sports in the winter. Plus long underwear and wear tennis shoes instead of cleats like ColdRedRain said.
The hardest part would be finding a spot to play, but my former apartment had incredibly open space outside and I would play football with friends and others year round. Plus when I lived in Annandale there were big open spots all over. I remember when we would wake up in the morning when I lived in Annandale for school and we'd find out school was closed because of snow and my neighbors and I would spend all day outside playing, even football!
I love playing sports outside when its winter and theres lots of snow.

Playing football outside in the snow the best.
It doesnt hurt to get tackled
You don't get all overheated
The only hard part is catching when your hands are cold

Get out your windchill tables from the People's Almanac, and you'll discover lot of surprises there.

At certain times of the year, you could freeze to death in Dallas, Atlanta,
Las Vegas, Albuquerque, San Diego and as far south as Tucson.

You don't believe me? Research! Research!
