I do like the look of LOS in Indianapolis and how similar it may feel to Williams Arena and how it works with the Midwest austere, barn-thing we should probably be embracing.

However, what I really want is something unique that no one else has, or has even imagined whatever that might be. I'd sacrifice the operable roof for a fixed roof if that meant we'd have something that anyone would recognize as Minnesota either inside or outside the stadium. Would be pretty cool to be playing a game in a facility with a blizzard swirling around outside that you could see from inside.

Can't really post a picture because it's never been built but this wouldn't look too shabby downtown...

I don't like that at all. I do like the proposed one though:

I love the look of Lucas Oil Stadium. I think it would fit in Minneapolis perfectly. If it's going to be in Arden Hills I would prefer something more modern.

that link opened to multiple designs, the first one was the one proposed up in Anoka a few years back which I always liked.

They had an ad out in the PP. That was the one I liked (I think).

Yeah, that first one is pretty cool. I wouldn't mind that.

Lucas Oil Stadium is nice. I like what the did with the Cardinal's ball field in St. Louis as well. Something along those lines would look nice in Minneapolis. The second one Ghengis posted looks like a deflated weather balloon

I agree, something more "traditional" looking in Minneapolis, something more modern looking if it goes to Arden Hills or Shakopee.

Is there room in downtown Minneapolis for a new stadium?
