Whatever makes you feel safe and comfortable I guess. My wife and I have biked alone on the greenway during the day several times without hesitation. I agree that doing it at night would probably need to be done with a certain level of precaution, it isn't exactly heavily used at night like it is during the day. The fact that somebody rides past me several times a minute during the day makes me feel fairly comfortable though, if anything happened there would always be at least a few witnesses to the incident.

I hope you don't go "Minnesota nice" when charges and sentencing time comes. There was a case a long while ago when the term "wilding" came about. Seemed a group of teens were doing similar and after a few mugging there were rapes.
