Another thing to note is, are homes in Mpls taking longer to sell? Are investors buying or selling, this is a key. The real estate investors I work for, if they sell soon, then I know there is a problem. My investors have bought up apartments around the soccer stadium in St Paul in last 5+ years, but still have a place or two in Mpls for me. For someone buying further away, if they were not renters prior, they'd need to sell their prior homes in Mpls first and if nobody wants to buy in Mpls, then it really can't happen.

I love how the leftists say "Nothing happening here, move along."

More businesses leaving Minneapolis. Even the left-wing press is beginning to admit the truth.

Wait, why would people be fleeing Minneapolis?

Bidding wars going on and everything. Hmmmm...I wonder why that is?
Can't speak for Mpls, but here in St Paul, the same thing is going on. Gee, do you think maybe it's Minneapolans coming over here driving up our city's housing market?

When someone wants to move away, they usually need someone to purchase their Mpls house before they can do it. If Mpls homes of same price range as surrounding suburbs, but take way longer to sell...then that’s starting point/bit of info.

What's the chances Minneapolis along with Portland and Seattle are on many's 'do not visit' list? Long memories will put a big dent in the tourism industry for those places for years to come.

I'd say huge. Once we're past the pandemic and business and convention travel resumes, there would be little reason for someone to choose Minneapolis over a multitude of other cities. I mean every time you open up a national newspaper, including the NY Times and Washington Post, it's an article on another stupid thing the city council has done.
