What has he done so far for us people. If nothing, feed him to the pigs.

That would be swine abuse.

Well going scorched earth on his fellow republicans certainly isn't going to help his chances.

I think at this point, there are enough Republicans that feel the trouble to keep him around isn't worth the extra vote, even with the slim majority and he knows it, so he is lashing out. It is pretty much certain that almost all Democrats will vote to oust, which means if approx 35% of Republicans vote to oust him he will get the 2/3, which appears quite likely at this point.

“Within the ranks of United States Congress there’s felons galore, there’s people with all sorts of shystie backgrounds,” he said.

The embittered Republican added that some of his colleagues are “more worried about getting drunk every night with the next lobbyists they're going to screw” than doing their jobs.
Hahaha, I like this guy even more now. Congress is mostly useless rent-seekers and them taking the high ground on anything is laughable.

Agreed I think it’s more likely he’s done at this point than not. The GOP may also be thinking they have a better chance in a special election turnout wise then they can go into the general with a possible incumbent

Possible either that or they think the damage of not voting him out could outweigh any one particular seat benefit.

Also, does appear that this will be brought to the House again tomorrow as a Privileged Resolution, which means the House must take action on it within two Legislative days. The Resolution that Guest brought up the day after the Ethics report came out set up a likely action on the expulsion vote this week, but did not require it or set up a definitive timeframe. If this comes under the Privileged Resolution it will set a timeframe in which action must be taken by (the previous Resolution put forth by D'Esposito was under a Privileged Resolution as well)

It was brought to the House today under the Privileged Resolution rules which means the House must act on in with two legislative days. No specific timeline yet, and could come as early as today, but the House must take action on it by Thursday.

Interesting thanks for the update. Sounds like this whole fiasco will finally come to an end this week. As I understand it if he is expelled, the vote would most likely be around feb/march timeframe with no primary.
