Yup, would love to be in those areas but need a million + to find a decent house in those neighborhoods (minus commack but that was too far east for us). This is our first home and are a couple years from having school aged kids, so hopefully when we need to in 3-5 years we will have it figured out or can upgrade from our home now for one in those districts (also with more cash to throw down in a few years hopefully)
That’s exactly what the friends we have did. They didn’t dislike the schools, they just didn’t like the sheer number of non English speaking students. Property Tax rates are lower in csh and hhh than sh, they are still high though. Congrats on the home! We traded up also first home fixed it up sold it 3 years later moved to new bigger and better house.

or, if you want to stay, you're 5-10 mins from St. Anthony's.

I thought you wrote in another post that you have purchased your forever home in Maplewood? ? Hmmmm. In any case, good luck.

For all intents and purposes, this is our forever home, but when we have school aged kids and if we aren’t happy with the school district or an opportunity opens up for us pending the market to move to a better school district, we would pursue it. Heard mixed opinions about the school district, but not really worried about that at all for a few years. Would always consider st anthonys or private school. We will see what the future holds.
