What else do you expect to see on a LONG ISLAND photo thread? A big mass of skyscrapers? Subway stations? The Grand Canyon? Hollywood Blvd. and the mansions of Beverly Hills? Giant mountain ranges? Realize that people post what they just happened to have taken pictures of while they had their cameras in their possession. If YOU want even more variety than you see here, then go out into and throughout Long Island yourself with your own digital camera or your smartphone camera, take pictures, and post them here for all the rest of us to behold.
And, do tell, what exactly will you take pictures of that will be a significant contrast to what appears on these multiple pages of photos in this Long Island thread? I'm sure we'd ALL like even more variety. Who wouldn't? Yet realistically, how much ovewhelming "variety" can one find in the territory that encompasses what is Long Island?
Why not give a list of suggestions for what YOU'D like to see pictures of (instead of what you find here that so bores you)?

He can't he moved away to SC & he just came on here to trash our beautiful Long Island & tell us how wonderful SC is. LOL...truth be told he misses it here already & just can't stay away.
What is happening to the lake? Is this a result of the water from the underground spring being diverted to the riverhead water supply? This shrinking of the lake has accelerated dramatically with in the past 3-5 years (suspiciously since the home owners on the lake voted to change from well water to the city water) The mosquitos and slime in the lagoon is becoming a health concern especially in view of the Zika Threat. How can it be determined if the water supply to the lake was altered?
