Dyker Heights and Bay Ridge are neighborhoods in the southwest part of Brooklyn.

Red Hook is in South Brooklyn, because way back when in the early part of the 19th Century, Red Hook was the in the south part of the original town, and then city, of Brooklyn.

Sorry about the acronym overload. OCS is Officer Candidate School and IOBC is the Infantry Officer Basic Course. It's funny but at least I had enough sense not to add IMPOC (Infantry Mortar Platoon Officers Course). I caught myself on that one. But you are right. I say "squared away" and "the whole nine yards" along with my kids who also give out 5 point contingency plans when they go somewhere. It's all a little odd but it's our life..

Back in the day, when I was working in the Office of Instruction at the U.S. Army Infantry School, Fort Benning, GA, I performed quality control on the exams given to OCS, IOBC, as well as NCOCS*, students.

* NCOCS = Non-commissioned Office Candidate School.
