Duh. You're right, John there is one in Wantagh. I'm in Suffolk and so I was focusing on those two locations and ignoring the Nassau one. My bad.
Currently they are offering 1.98% (2.0% APY) on a completely liquid Money Market Savings account which is the best deal around right now from any local brick-and-mortar bank (online banks are just not my thing). They have been paying this rate for at least the past 60 days. That's a great deal compared to where our money is now, but before I move a chunk of change from a large bank to a small one that I have never heard of before, I like to do a bit of due diligence to see if I can get any feedback.
Other than the fact that they've been around for over 100 years I can find nothing either dramatically positive or negative about them so thought I'd ask for any firsthand experiences from customers who bank there.
