Sorry for not checking in. Well... it's the holiday seasons and everything sort of gets amped up.

My group does the steps yearly so... we all just finished 4-9! Yeah! Now I'm back to doing 10, 11, and 12 and I have a fighters chance!

I'm finding a lot of antiAA out in the big bad world too. But guess what? Not our business. We should look at our enemies and detractors... and even those who don't understand us and let our actions and behaviors speak for us... in the spirit of attraction and not promotion.

Hard to do sometimes, but a way of life for us and ... life and death for some of us too.

    Cheers!

The worst thing is reading how a normie with no family or friends in the program (or living children for that matter) thinks alcoholics and drug addicts should be handled in terms of their addiction and recovery. That just steams my cookies. Just had to vent.

Sad, doesn't anyone else ever check in? We could use the support.

I could understand that. I've seen meetings that will be closed 6 days a week and open 1 day a week too.

Most group meetings I go to meet once a week though.

Well, my homegroup just doubled the amount of meetings we have in a week. Aside from our tuesday night discussion, we now have a sunday night Big Book study. It is an open meeting, after all, it's a small town and we are the only game in town. We decided we wouldn't feel right about it if we turned someone away.

So... those of you that practice the 11th Step; when they say, "Before we begin, we ask God to direct our thinking..." do they mean before we begin our day, or before we "consider our plans for the day", or before we "think about the twenty-four hours ahead?"

I've tried it different ways. What's your experience with that? If you don't have an experience with it, get to Step 11 and try it with me.
