Looks like nor’easter passes to our East Sunday, rain chances and breezy. Gust 30ish mph should keep power outages East of the area where it’ll be stronger or at least to a minimum.
Late Wednesday: chance of a few sleet pellets / snow flakes mixed in, no issues tho.
Late Friday overnight / early Saturday: May have just enough cold air later Friday night to start precip off as mix precip or possible freezing rain (maybe bridge / overpass concern if so) then all rain. No power concerns with this one.
Borderline events as usual. But worth a mention at least.

Reason: I must press the button because it is there.
Parella is getting more aggressive in forecasting ice, possibly as far south as TR. Could be bad in Henderson (NC) county.
Well, of course, its WYFF. Got to get everybody excited, cause a rush to to get their milk sandwiches, only to be let down, or mad because, uh, nothing happened.
All of the WYFF folks are top notch. All this conspiracy theory discussion about our weather folks is nonsense. We are lucky to have the best in the business in the Upstate of South Carolina.

You are entitled to your opinion, of course, but I have come to beleive what I see when it comes to forcasting in the upstate. Too many times have "they" cried the sky is falling, and theend result is nothing like they predicted. Use to not be like that. If rain was forecated, it rained and that was it. Now its, hurricane force winds, and rain. OK, so maybe thats an exaggeration, but thats partially my point. Neither Malachi Rogers nor, whats her name on Fox said anything about any type of winter precip except in the far northern parts of Greenville county, and even Malachi said he didnt think it would happen that far south, but someone from WYFF has to mention Travlers Rest, and that alone sends people into a frenzy. Ive had 4 people this morning tell me its going to snow. One even said "That weather lady on 4 this morning said it was going to snow." While they may be good, and in your opnion, the best they should know better than to predict snow for any part of the upstate. All it does, as proof in your responce to my sarcastic reply, is get people upset and scared.
Here's the NWS GSP ice maps. Looks like overall lite stuff in Northern areas. Not enough for tree/power/internet concerns. Maybe just a spotty bridge/overpass thing. SCDOT treated some roadways earlier today as a precaution. All rain at sunrise-ish though. (Remember that freezing rain (ice) is regular rain that happens to freeze on surfaces if temps 32 or less).
Looks like heavy rain Tuesday. Wind gust maybe up to 40mph-ish. That’s right at threshold for scattered power outages to begin. But hopefully just miss out on the higher winds in the mountains and further Southeast of area. Just FYI.
That was a crazy storm. 5 inches of rain, 1.68 in/hr at one point. Basement got a little flooding, a once every 5 years event for us.
