I think what both these young men mean is that it's easier for whites to succeed in the U.S. Not to turn this into a argument but "white privilege" is alive and kicking. deny it if you want. every year the same studies come out of some think tank or college group sending in a black guy and a white guy, with the same credit, job, job history,savings in the bank, education, and income. always the black guy will be told "sold, already rented," then the white guy will come in after him and be told "still available, we can do the paper work now" it never fails. hell even the feds came out with a study last year showing blacks with the same income, credit, job history as their white counterparts were getting unfavorable financing for homes. sometimes they had better incomes and credit and were still getting the shaft. deny it all you want but the 30+ years of studies are there to show discrimination against blacks is alive and kicking. in fact not much has changed since the 60's. maybe by a few percentage points.
I don't usually make comments on subjects like this, but, lol, your post was "special".
So when my father was working two jobs to achieve lower middle class, lol, that was the break we found? His income was too high with the two salaries combined to get any real financial aid. So thats right, never finished college as a kid. No scholarships, and nobody wanted to give the white boy any money at the time.
Sure glad you get hand-outs for skin color. Otherwise you might have to work twice as hard as all these mythical rich white people and still pay your own way. Perish the thought. So do you breed racism professionally, or is it just a hobby of yours?

Please, there are LOTS of reasons why blacks are still in the ghetto, there are biased laws against crimes that are more geared against blacks, law enforcement agencies are always targeted in black inner city communities. Contrary to what some believe there are still white employers that do not willingly hire minorities.
Yet there is also problems on the other side as well. There is a book called "Losing The Race" It was written by a black man that talks about African-Americans and the Self Destructive Victimology that some are going through. A sort of Self Sabotage in the inner city black community.
There isnt one specific group of people that are holding blacks back. Its a large combination of too many different things
We will never get over this until organizations stop offering "For Blacks Only" scolarships, or for "Hispanics Only" scolarships.
It's because most these folks are underprivileged, not having the same education and economic level, in regards to the majority of white folk. It's not an issue of race, it only happens to be along those lines.
So why not take a positive view on scholarships . Be serious about education. commit to hard work and stop worrying about hispanic and or black scholarships just work and do it.

How about I create a post "Looking for an area dominated by upper middle-class whites"? The mods would delete it so fast there wouldn't be time for a response.
Bottom line, something is either racist, or it isn't. THAT much is black-n-white.

Blacks are so underpriveleged in this country its not even funny, racist white segregate themselves from blacks and white flight occurs.
Then property values drop and businessses and jobs pull out, then the ghetto forms.
WIth so much negativity I can see why someone would ask to see if their people are doing well anywhere in the country.
