I mean late Oct. and still almost 90 degrees, damn! I just seems like it should be much cooler by now.

Noodles its been like this for 10 years now. Up to about the late 80s early 90s we had beautiful temps starting in early October highs in the 60s or 70s usually. But the last 10 years its been getting warmer and warmer. It seems like the cool weather stops at Orlando lately, and south of that we can be in the 80s in January

That's funny that you bring that up, because I have noticed a lot of the "record highs" listed on the Weather Channel forecasts for the past couple weeks have been from the 1980s. I think we just have warmer years and cooler years, although it's been consistently hotter this year in particular than any I can remember.

I don't know about that. But what I do know, is that every year I stay here, it seems hotter for longer. I think it's a cumulative effect. Someone phone Mission Hospital in Asheville and tell them to hire my wife please!!!!

It was cool in Gainesville today - I took a walk and didn't even work up a sweat. I even have my portable heater going tonight. I definitely don't think it is getting hotter - if anything, I wish it was a little warmer right now!

its you, if anything i remember it being hotter...there was one time where it hit over 100 where I was for like 30-40 days in a row in the mid 1990s. I remember several pretty warm Thanksgivings and Halloweens as well. I have spent at least some time there every year of my life since then because I have family and friends.

(I was born in FL in 1980..)

Dude, move out from Florida. I was there the whole summer, it's way too hot and humid.
