Im here, and enjoying a 65 degree day.
Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous.
We did yard work in the morning, and spent the afternoon at the beach.

The beginning of the summer it was very hot here, but after that, the heat was not so bad, but the humidity seemed to build up after awhile.

Here is a prediction for 2009-2010 winter weather patterns:

El Niño to Help Steer U.S. Winter Weather
Below-average temperatures are expected across the Southeast and mid-Atlantic from southern and eastern Texas to southern Pennsylvania and south through Florida.

I lived in Gainesville from May through the middle of December 1971. Yes, the summer was hot, but I remember regularly wearing jeans and long sleeves during the days in the Fall. The nights I had to put on a sweater. We routinely put on the heat at night. Remember, I left in DECEMBER. I was not there in the middle of the winter.

We spent Thanksgiving at my BF parents house in Sarasota. They asked me if I wanted to go to the beach. I said to them, and I do remember this, "60s is too cold for me to go to the beach." They said they thought people from the North would be able to swim when the temps were in the 60s. Amazing what you remember from 38 years ago.

I sometimes check the temps there and here in Naples. Usually there isn't much of a difference, unless there is a big cold front and it is night.

South Florida is DISGUSTING. I cannot wait to retire and move. I can't stand that 9 months out of the year it's just plain miserable here. Why people want to VOLUNTARILY live here, I haven't got a clue. The heat, HUMIDITY is unbearable and ruins or inconveniences my plans more often than not. I always have to worry about the weather, sweating bullets, taking 2-3 showers a day, nasty way of living.

We moved down to central Florida(Citrus county) in 1988 and without a doubt, the weather FELT cooler back then and lasted longer. Yesterday am after leaving Orlando and arriving in Brooksville it felt noticably more comfortable in Brooksville, maybe 5 degrees cooler. And in the evening even moreso like 10 degrees cooler than Orlando. Looks like the sultry air is along the east coast of Fla according to the weather channel maps and heading west.

It's NOT you.... It's hotter.... I have been in Fl for 15 years, and it is a lot hotter than it was in 1994... And I am pretty sick of it. Today is work on irrigation day outside for me, so I get to enjoy this lovely crap all day. Sorry, had to vent.

Where is the stuff we got last weekend, that was awesome. Looks like no cool fronts for us all week, Yay...

I just heard that NORTH Florida is going to get a cold front this week. Here in South Florida we aren't getting it and it's going to be in the high 80s/low 90s this week. Whoopppee. I am not only in the wrong state. I am even in the wrong PART of the state.
