I'm surprised Victoria & Albert's didn't already have one. Hands down the best dining experience I've had in Florida, although I'd assume Miami has something similar, maybe?

Happy for Camilles. Baldwin Park is a hidden gem in Orlando.

Does anyone have the total tally for Miami, Orlando, and Tampa? I doubt anywhere else in Florida has much of anything, so I'm interested in those three. Correct me if I'm wrong.

19 total in Florida
12 in Miami
4 in Orlando
3 in Tampa (That’s 3 too many IMO. Whenever I go there, I prefer food trucks).

Ha, MAYBE a half star for Bern’s due to their dessert room.

Regarding the Michelin stars for Tampa.

The tourism boards in Tampa entered into a contract with Michelin to bring the guide to Tampa. As a result, Tampa has MAGICALLY earned 3 Michelin stars.

I believe if you look this up in the dictionary, it's called BRIBERY.

Synonym: PAYOLA

Tampa was awarded 0 in year one so nothing to suggest bribery there.

Orlando has paid for it via the tourism board also, given Orlando's sudden appearance was somewhat "magical" as well.

At the very least, V&A deserved to have one a long time ago.

Many cities have at least one standout restaurant not recognized due to the required process (in other words greasing of the hands) of Michelin. While a big deal in Europe it's lost its luster here in the US due to the politics and inequitable exclusions. AAA and Mobil ratings hold more sway in my opinion followed by well-established Tripadvisor ratings. If following industry recognition, the annual James Beard Awards well represent excellence in varying restaurant styles.
