I've never eaten anything except Eggland Eggs and even grew up on them. Someone told me at the gym I should wash the eggs off before I use them. She gets her from a neighbor who has chickens running around the property. But where I am at there isn't anything running around here except dogs.

Eggs you get from stores are already washed. Eggs you get directly from a small farm are "speckled" with bits of dirt, feces, grain, blood, because hens don't lay eggs on conveyor belts. Once an egg is washed, it must be either used, or refrigerated. Unwashed eggs can stay in a basket on your counter until you're ready to wash them.

To wash an egg, you just run tap water over it and smudge the specks off with your fingers. Then wash your hands.

Yes, it is unrelated to this thread specifically, but is a potential look at a dystopian future portrayed on paper and film of what we may all face in the not-too-distant future. Be it destruction of our natural resources, government propaganda to keep the masses in the dark, and yes, even cannibalism of our dead, without the general populations knowledge.

I highly recommend watching it, as when it was made, it was highly unlikely a possibility. But considering the trajectory where we are headed today, sadly and frightenedly it may not be that farfetched;
