Bird flu has been a "threat" the last 20+ years now.

Two humans have come down with it this year. In Florida there are no reports of birds with avian flu so far this year; most are from Iowa, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Nebraska.

Florida doesn't produce "factory eggs." If you know people in the area who own egg-laying hens, you should consider getting eggs from them, before buying any eggs in a store. If you know someone who has duck-eggs, consider those instead of chicken eggs. If you can't, or don't want to go the local route, consider Happy Eggs or Handsome Eggs, or Nellie's/Pete & Gerry's Pasture-raised eggs.

They're more expensive than factory eggs but less likely to come from infected, tortured birds in filthy conditions.

You need an option that says - no, I don't care!

first off....Florida is the 8th largest egg producer in the country

second...I can't think of a better way to get bird flu than through some backyard chicken farm

Lab grown meat is the safest alternative.

Good idea but it won't let me add anything to the poll. I even tried adding a second poll but could not add that in the beginning.
