Ding. Ding. Ding.

The enemy of any right-wing populist movement are the well educated who make their decisions based on critical thinking and logic. DeSantis has learned that lesson from the Master himself. Trump in 2016: "We won with poorly educated. I love the poorly educated."

I rest my case!

I did. Was part of world history. We also learned about the other world religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism and others.

Right, that’s the extent of it. Not a study of the Bible per se is what I was meaning.

The point is you don’t have a case in the first place. There is no one size fits all for education.

I'll take Florida politics for $200, Alex. The answer is: De Santis. "Why are things in Florida going south now?"

Waaal, kids in Florida are about to get a whole lot luckier than you. Even though there's been tons of books banned in schools because of things in them like murder, abortion, incest, and the like, the one book that has all these things in it and more and is still allowed will probably now be taught in public schools. Which is what makes me laugh so hard at religious home-schoolers. "No, can't have kids read a book that addresses anything like incest. Better kids read about incest in the Bible."

The best thing I've heard so far is: "Live so that if your life was a book, Florida would ban it."

Looks similar to the national average - scores decreased in 2020 and are just starting to climb this year. The SAT and ACT are required in Florida and some other states - https://blog.prepscholar.com/which-s...ist-and-advice - not everyone is college material - nor should they be.

Was Desantis governor when you went to school? The curriculum changes are recent.

Pretty well established, no doubt, because these particular "experts" agree with you.

And just this week the FL Education Commissioner recommended removing credit for the Introduction to Sociology class that is a large enrollment course that will have major effects to many students. The offending criteria seems to be the mention of the words Gender and Race on exams within the course schedule. Students may still take the class but not receive credit which I'm guessing is as effective as removing it.
