...and then a low-income conservative's daughter is raped and gets pregnant, and doesn't know she's pregnant til she's in her 7th week. And now they can't afford to leave the state for the abortion, so she's forced to carry and give birth to her rapist's child.

...and then, all three of the above STILL vote for the people who harmed themselves and their families. Because of course they will.

Same with Cubans.

Yeap, pretty much what I was going to say. Particularly the communities of blacks and LGBT has members moving out of the state in large numbers, not surprisingly.

Creating rules that are favorable to what’s seen as the right kind of investment or economic action in a state or equivalent is Government 101. Writing rules in 2017 or so that gave more leeway to insurance companies that wanted to deny a roof replacement claim in an area that hadn’t seen a hurricane in five years or more ould have kept more insurers in the state.

They can also subsidize what the free market doesn’t want to deal with, hence the existence of Citizen’s, which absorbs a lot of the property insurance requests that the private sector thinks would be a financial drag on their system.

Reckon how long 'eventually' is in this case? Premiums are trending sharply up since that legislation that you say will bring costs down.

Which has nothing to do with the United States at all.

Frankly, I wish many immigrants would stay in their own country and fix things there. The people who are already in the United States are better equipped to deal with American problems.

On another note, its only a matter of time before climate change, hurricanes, and unaffordable insurance cause many people in Florida to leave.

I'm not so sure about that. The overwhelming majority of serious property damage and deaths from hurricanes is due to idiots who parked their mobile home within spitting distance of the ocean because they liked the nice view and the low property prices.

Once you get a reasonable distance from the ocean and buy or construct a well built house/condo out of the flood zone, then your risk of substantial damage diminishes drastically.

It's really hard to "fix things" in your own country, when you are "disappeared" if you dare to express disapproval for the current government. During your absence from your family, business, friends, you are tortured and beaten. Sometimes your body is returned - to make a statement that voicing disapproval of the government will be met with the same end. Often your body is not returned. Their Constitutional rights were suspended in 2015.

Violent crime in Venezuela is so prolific that the government stopped producing data. Gangs are overlooked when they rob, murder, rape, and kidnap citizens and visitors, because their prisons are overcrowded and they have no place to put anyone they arrest. So they just don't bother trying.

This is WHY people are running from Venezuela.
