An unattractive woman wearing short shorts would still get nowhere the negative attention than the most attractive man would.

true. an obese woman in short shorts will just get a mental eye roll and perhaps a change of direction while a man wearing them will get laughter, finger pointing, cat calling, song singing, picture taking, video filming, and maybe even a violent altercation.

Very true indeed. I went to a festival today and there were plenty of both genders wearing shorts. Most of the woman of all ages and body types were wearing shorts that ended right at or just below where the cheeks end and the legs begin. You can already guess what style all the men were wearing.

But then, I am 60, so I am used to seeing men wearing mid thigh {or higher} shorts and cutoffs.

I think it is only the younger women who have never known anything but the below the knee look....which I think is hideous, BTW......and not near as cool as wearing mid thigh.....which is kinda the idea of shorts in the first place.

I feel sorry for today's men who wear their shorts below the knees, like Justin Bieber.....not only do they look VERY UNFLATTERING.....they look HOT....as in sweating hot....not sexy hot!

{NO WAY was I implying that Justin Bieber is a man.}
Well since you are 60 I can understand why your point of view is different, you are from a differentdifferent generation, I must say that your kind is unfortunately a dying breed, (absolutely no pun intended), men's sex appeal seems to be a dying breed too. It seems like men are expected to cover up more and more, sometimes I wonder if the day will come when all we see from men will be their face and hands. I will gladly stay home when that happens.

yes, it seems that men are beginning to be simply tools used for breeding. Ever notice how men arent fathers any more but simply "baby daddies" and "sperm donors"?

Some of them do.

After all, "chubby chasers" do exist.

There are always exceptions to the rule.

Another one of society's many double standards.

I occasionally wear shorts that go above the knee. My girlfriend actually likes them since she thinks I have nice legs. Guys down here in Brazil wear speedos at the beach, so we're kind of used to seeing male legs.

I will never understand it. How anyone can think the shorts in the first picture are flattering is unbelievable. They are the ones that are laughable, IMO.
Tell me about it..
