What's going on with that area around gills creek on garners ferry that was destroyed by the flood in October? (Subway, Liberty Tax) Also what is going on with the Church's chicken, I saw them tearing down the structure last week. Anyone know whats coming in its place?
Still no word on what's going on near Gills Creek? Are they expanding Garners Ferry? Also the spot next to Taboo is having construction, what's going on?
I am surprised that development is still slow coming in the Garners Ferry Road Corridor. .. Burnside Farms down on Pineview Rd and Garners Ferry seems to be taking awhile and there is still plenty of large lots in the areas between Leesburg Rdand Garners Ferry that could develop into fairly good size infill subdivisions. I will say that the area has done a good job of filling in vacant grocery stores or repurposing smaller shopping centers by infilling motels and restaurants.. but it still feels very underserved despite the fairly stable to upper incomes in the general area and great access to I-77 and downtown
I wish we could see some more positive development along Garners Ferry.
Just opened up a Planet Pizza buffet but I wouldn't send my worst enemy there!
What happened to the Dairy Queen that was supposed to come to G Ferry?
I agree...I am actually surprised that GF hasn't seen more development. What has occurred has been a good mix of development and redevelopment which is positive.. but when compared to the NE and NW Richland County it has been slow almost stagnant given the fact that its probably closer to downtown, has interstate access, has access to a higher concentration of higher income residents when you consider Lake Katherine, Kings Grant, Shandon, Rosewood, and areas behind the VA. There are many large sites off of Garners Ferry above Pineview that are completely wooded AND surrounded by older stable suburban development that would make excellent infill sites to further increase the numbers of rooftops on the area.. but yet they remain undeveloped despite being in the Dreher-AC Flora Zone. The only site with some traction is the Burnside Farms near GF and Pineview/Hallbrook Drive.
