Pretty much every aspect of cars today is way better than 40 years ago. Even the tires. The fatality rate is less than half what it was in the 1970s.

So I guess the next question is, can you see yourself submitting driver control to an autonomous vehicle?

My husband and I had a very nice time in Austin this past weekend. Our oldest Granddaughter is living with her mother there while her dad (our son) is deployed to Iraq with the US Army. This was the first time since L came to Austin (in May) that her mother agreed to us visiting. She is 10 now and we had not seen her (any of son's kids) since 2016. So, of course I was jumping for joy and praising Jesus. She got to spend the night with us at the hotel - we did what she wanted - hamburger and vanilla shake at P. Terry's (never been there) and we saw The Addams Family. Pizza for dinner she actually liked pepperoni, sausage and jalapeno!! She picked donut's and bacon for breakfast. She told Papa - that she wasn't sure about Sunday's plans, but she trusted him LOL. We took her on a tour of the State Capital. She loved the statue where she could get a photo by the Seal of the US Army and when in the guided tour she kept talking about what she had learned in Social Studies about the Alamo and Texas history. I gave her my phone and she took tons of photos to send to her dad and she even got to Facetime him while there. It was a wonderful weekend with her. We won't be retiring in Austin, but looking in New Braunfels - so I'm sure we will spend more time there once we retire.

Anyone here happen to have a Costco or Sam's Club membership? I was thinking of getting one but not sure if it's worth it.

Both. Prefer Costco. Better quality merchandise. IMHO.

CostCo, mainly because it is closer/easier to get to for us. Our membership is paid for in the savings on allergy medications alone. Rx glasses are also a very good deal. We actually only go there rarely, but since we recoup the cost, we keep re-upping.

If it's just you, and you don't have some type of vacuum sealing machine to freeze portions, it's a complete waste of money for you.
