I enjoy the area. It's great to have a river running through the desert. Lots of entertainment at the casinos. Great place to use all toys for both land and sea. I don't know how anyone can say they're bored here. The only area I wouldn't recommend is the Riveria. With talks of river front revitalization, a river walk on the Bull Head City side of the river, Bull Head City can only be on the upswing. The new mall will be a shopper's paradise.

Points well taken.

Understand in my case I do not give a fig about casinos, drinking, river sports, 4 wheelin' etc. so BHC has little appeal.

Give me a good Indie coffeehouse with live folk/blues/soft rock and I may reconsider my feelings towards BHC

Default Bullhead City and Things to Do

I agree with Steve on this. Again. I guess two great minds think alike! I hear good things about the schools along the Parkway. And the homes are just lovely! Wish I had that kind of ca$h! Oh, well! I can dream, can't I? No, really, livin' large out here in Golden Valley on my 2 acres! But, he also mentioned the activities for the kids. And yes, there are things to do! Check out the library and parks and recreation for activities going on throughout the year. Also, there's a Boys and Girls Club. If more parents took time with their kids, they'd find so many fun things to do! I hear so many people complain of nothing to do out here! Reeeeally? Well, I can find plenty to do for the family! And then there's the river and the park has a pool................Riverside has the movies or catch one at the mall. Gosh, did I leave anything out?

There's absolutely nothing to do there except gamble your money away and watch teenage girls get pregnant like wildfire. Good luck!

Default Bullhead

Well, the pregnancy thing is true. How much? I don't know. But, there are options for these young ladies! I know of one such young lady who got pregnant and quit school a few months before her graduation! She could have gone on and finished through online learning such as a K12 program. Such a shame, when we have so many options to explore! But, on a more merrier note, she is working full time to support herself and her babies. No, it's not a misprint, I said babies, plural. I'm proud of her for not giving up. With a lot of strong support and commitment, these girls can turn their lives around for the better. My younger sis also has mentioned that she knew a few girls who got pregnant in Laughlin and Mohave Valley. I had a friend at the casinos whose 15 year old daughter got pregnant. Now, is it prevalent? I don't know for sure. But, there is help and there are options. I'm sure we all may know of a few pregnant teens, but that doesn't mean they all are!

The 'babies' thing (plural) to me smacks of not taking personal responsibility-----one unintended pregnancy I can understand but two?

Sounds like you probably would feel right at home in NYC, or LA, SF just to name a few, but when your freezing in the winter, roll down your windows and have the warm breeze come in. NO Bullhead city is a growing little city, but it seems a lot of persons and their families are moving there. Also you can always go to Ls Vegas and find what your seeking.
