How many times have we read about people going down an "isle" in a store.

*ahem*

Isle = island

Aisle = a row in a store

Suzy q!!! Excuse me, but, were you thinking Mighty Queen didn't know this already? This is one of my main pet peeves... to post something and have someone else come in and explain it to me. Say you're sorry and go stand in the corner.

Well, I think that I speak for all of the regulars in this forum when I say that I just learned something.
NOT!

If there was ever an internet group that didn't need the explanation, it is this group.

Yes, I know I was preaching to the choir, but this is the place to vent & laugh about spelling/ grammar atrocities.

In my younger years I thought that I could help better the world by correcting every spelling & grammar error I saw, but it turns out the world doesn't work that way.

Glad to have this forum where we can vent!

An online friend keeps writing about his new diet & exercise "regiment". I'd correct him, but he's been thru a lot lately and the last thing he needs is someone bugging him about something. The saddest part, though - he's a teacher.

A teacher made that mistake, ugh.

Yes, "regiment" and "regime" are often erroneously used instead of "regimen."

People talking about their exercise "regime," so many times I've seen that written.
