Do the AAA travel guides still differentiate between a motel and a motor court? I never did know what the difference was. Is a motel a chain off the freeway and a motor court a little family-owned place on a little state highway?
I am unable to create a sticky in which I could compile our "dictionary" but one in which only I could add to and without additional comments. So I put the list on a blog. You can find it here: skippercollecto - words your grandparents used

I don't know about differentiation between "motel" and "motor court". I hear and use the word "motel" exclusively now. In the 1950's the term "autel" and "auto court" were also used but in the "word shake out" that has happened since then, I think most people just say "motel".
"millinery" - a ladies' hat shop
"milliner" - designer and/or maker of ladies' hats
I checked out the list, skippercollector. That was fun going through it.

"chip off the old block" - a youngster who looks like a parent; or a young adult who is very much like a parent. More frequently applied to a son than a daughter.
