My point about $500K is, losing a job that pays that ($500K) and applying for jobs that pay $30,000 is a HUGE difference. If you made $50,000 in your previous job and refuse a job that pays $30,000 it's really not that different once you change the perspectives a bit. So, you adjust your lifestyle here and there.

Again-why do you care about others that have no impact on your oh-so-wonderful existence?

I kind of wonder if the OP is actually Weekend Traveler. i mean the original thread isn't written in the style of WT, but maybe he/she came up with a new style.

What does it matter? As long as posters keep responding to his designed-to-flame threads the more he enjoys it. A "Weekend Traveler" (and the various pseudonyms WT took on for a while thereafter) he's not but the game's the thing. Ignore him and the game falls flat. And as usual any comments such as this will fall upon deaf ears and the threads will continue to grow in length.

Lol, so in your mind, there are differences between middle class and wealthy unemployed who won't accept lower wage jobs?
Actually, Someone earning $50,000 is likely being offered minimum wage in this economy... not $30,000... and probably part-time, so not really a liveable wage.

There was a news report that there are millionaires collecting unemployment so I suspect that there are also wealthy people who are part of the long term unemployed who collected or still collecting every penny from unemployment benefits even though they don't need it. For some reason, certain outspoken critics like yourself don't mind "supporting" people of wealth with tax dollars if they won't accept a $50,000 job.

We never hear them complain about being unemployed because they are too busy playing golf after they make their weekly online claims.
