I know I realized that, see this is why it's not a good thing to jump at the first offer because you may not like it and get stuck

You could always search for better opportunities while you are employed ... No one said you had to stay at this job forever .... Employers tend to prefer those who are already employed versus those that are unemployed.

It's quite disturbing that someone who is an employment counselor is, until it's brought to his attention, unaware of the rules and regulations relating to unemployment compensation. Your clientele are workers who, like you, were laid off and I'd place a hefty bet that the majority of them know how it works.

Feel blessed that someone had the courage to employ you, get your nose to the grindstone and put your energy to good use instead of worrying about trivialities.

setting my alarm for 5:30am tomorrow because of the 8am staff meeting. so will be on the 6:52am train probably sleep
