I am considering a move from Southern California. I am considering North Carolina (Asheville) or Tenessee (Franklin). I am looking for a small town atmosphere with tree lined streets, historic homes, good schools and a safe place. I am also looking for good job opportunities, and a affordable house to buy $175,000-@250,000

If anyone can give me any thoughts on these cities/towns or any others in the North Carolina or Tenessee area I would appreciate the help.

Thank you

Nikki

Hi Nikki! I don't know much about the TN area, although I am a born and raised native of the Asheville area, and can say it is beautiful here. The job opportunities really depend on what field you are in. Again, depending on the type of home you're looking for, there are homes here in that price range. Near the downtown Asheville area is more of the historic homes... as you get into the neighboring cities, there aren't as many historic homes. Have you visited the area?... I think that will be your best bet to find an area that feels like "home" to you!

Consider East Tennessee. Greeneville Where I live is only 45 minutes from Asheville No property tax and no State income tax. Lower prices.
