We have a small place between Sylva and Cashiers (on 107).We have never been to Cades Cove,but are planning a trip end of Oct.After perusing the map it looks like one of those places that "you just can't get there from here".Is it better to enter from the south(road marked closed in winter)fromFranklin or from the Tennesee side of the park,from the Sylva area,any shortcuts? I do have 4wd jeep.
