And guess what? Next year we will both beat you to smitherines.

Mild mild mild and more mild for you.

Hahaha! Even in mild winters they'll still get much more snow than the UK!

Blue dome skies, for once very warm in Finland and muggy short nights. I have really good memories of those couple of summer weeks.

Summer 2011 was great as well, but then was Breivik. 2012 was poor and cool, 2013 I didn't have a girlfriend anymore.
Ah you don't need a missus, Enjoy being young and worry about that later. Get a few mates and go party up at the lake. That would be awesome!

Ewgh bleugh don't really care. I'd prefer it here because its more like winter when its really cold than there.

And this winter has proven that you have a very different climate to me.

That doesn't make sense. It's colder there and gets much much colder than it ever gets in your neck of the woods. We live in the mild UK!

It's milder here than where you are yes, but we've still had more frosts here. You're just more likely to get snow than I am.

I hope so. I already had my fill of -27°C days this year. I haven't had a winter this cold and snowy since I moved to southern PA

The bad thing about having mild winters here, once that cold front passes through, that's gonna dump several inches of snow. That's what happened earlier today. Mild low pressure off the Atlantic fed the cold front coming through and voila! One foot of snow plus more tonight

How is NI more wintry than here? You are surrounded by ocean, NI is mild and your growing zone is higher than mine. You live in zone 8b/9a, I live in zone 6b

That's extremely unlikely.

You do realize many other posters want mild winters?

Unless we get a March surprise, then 2013-2014 will finish out with officially 0.3" in Memphis which is the least snowiest since 2003-2004 (0.2"). Wouldn't be as disappointing if everywhere else in the South (even north Florida) had higher amounts. I'm convinced were cursed.

Uh. Someone in a big van at the traffic lights is holding the clutch on the hill and making a horrid vibration, which is rattling my window pane for like 2 minutes now at least.

USE THE HAND BRAKE!!!!!

You'll wear your clutch out. But I don't care. Your problem.
