Is there a law in Finland that apartments must be kept at a minimum temperature when the management controls the heat? Most of the US has it, I think. For NYC:

The 2008/2009 “heat season” begins today and continues through May 31, 2009. During heat season, residential owners with tenants are required by law to maintain an indoor temperature of at least 68 degrees Fahrenheit between 6:00 A.M. and 10:00 P.M. when the outdoor temperature falls below 55 degrees. Between 10:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M., building owners must maintain an indoor temperature of 55 degrees when the outside temperature falls below 40 degrees.

I don't know if it's actually a law, but the ministry of health demands that indoor temps must be at least 18C (64F) and preferrably 21C (71F). As heat is included in the rent, you can file a complaint for breach of agreement if the management tries to save unnecessary on heating.
The problem is that houses, groups of houses and even blocks are on the same district heating and it can take several days before you can notice the effect.

Usually I have no complaints, my apartment is nice and warm during the winter, but now when outdoor temps dropped from 70F to 55F in a couple of days, you really can feel a big difference inside as well.

I only had 2 hours sleep last night, I'm so tired. To top it off I was instructing some students on aircraft systems. I didn't need that!

I had a ton of trouble waking up this morning. I've been abstaining from coffee. Still craving it and going through withdrawal. I've had two cups of coffee in the month of September (during a crazy work weekend). Last cup was ten days ago.

I'm scheduled to work about 25 hours this weekend so that's the next big test.

Do they sell it in the US?

I've actually been trying to abstain from tea and soda as well, but not as strictly as coffee.

I'm not sure, maybe it would be an online purchase. I love tea but I try not to drink too much. When work stresses me out I'll have one cup after another.

I don't drink any kind of Soda, sometimes I'll have a coffee if its good quality.
