Fed up of this pathetic excuse of an "easterly" lol. It aint cold loves. Its 2c with sleety ****e all day and all night with lying snow at 400m yes 400m!!! Im more angry at the british or should i say english news readers who constantly make it out as if its freezing cold and that the snow is record. Im sorry bu treading around this eastely has only been good for east england and even there theyve only got 5cm. No offence like but that aint much to report about.
Yes we know about 600m but think about it, who exactly lives up there? Nobody.
Well when you're old enough to drive try some if the roads in North and East Yorkshire, that's why it's in the news. Nobody has said it's record breaking have they?! Snow always causes chaos on our roads, always has and always will, well at least until its mandatory to wear winter tyres.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm sick to the back teeth of winter. In the UK, that is. Our climate sucks arse.
That's what I call a phoney-baloney winter, which is a winter that only half-way does it and sort of pretends to be a winter (with the bare trees and all) but almost always falls short of actually being a winter.
By the way, today marks the halfway point of meteorological winter. For those who want to reflect on the first half and are very dissatisfied, this is the thread for you.
Totally different here in Buxton... still lots of snow... and bloody cold and icy. I'm sick of winter too, for different reasons. Too cold, too much ice. At least the roads are more driveable now. But walking into town is a nightmare.
