Just got out of work and got done eating cheese fries from the farmer's market. A most delicious snack and a little support for their business.

One thing I noticed about UK English (and I suppose, by extension, Australian and New Zealand English) is that you use the plural when referring to teams and companies; like whoever Argentina are facing, England are playing against Italy, etc.; instead of the US English whoever Argentina is facing, England is playing against Italy, etc.

So, my fellow Canadian brothers, do you guys say it like us, too?

Surprised they don't have them in New Zealand, they are popular in the UK known as 'Cheesy Chips'

I do remember a takeaway many years ago called potato nachos, They sound similar, but just seemed to be a fad.

Chips here are eaten with tomato sauce -no compromise. Or if you're eating them in a bar etc, are often drowned in sour cream, chives and bacon.

Now that's good bar food. Actually that's one of my favorite dishes: potato skins with bacon, cheese, chives, and sour cream.
