That website has AU$8.04 for Paris, but only AU$1.9 for Perpignan. Had a pint around that price tag yesterday, but that was at a fancy bar with a DJ and a dancefloor. Usually it's cheaper. The local supermarket has two packs of 20 for €18, but that's small 25 cl cans, so 10 liter total (Kronenbourg 1664).
Booze is quite expensive here due to the alcohol policy, but supermarkets often sell cases of 24 cans for 22-23€ (AU$ 32-34). And then you get 3.6€ back in refunds when returning the cans. In Lidl you get a can for 89 cents including the 15 cent refund.
A bottle of wine is usually some 7-9€ (AU$ 10-13) which is a lot on European standards, but I don't know if I would be happier if it would cost 4€.
A bottle of Smirnoff is the same as in Australia, and the cheapest brands go for AU$ 20-22.
Dude, I love how you're the only one who never follows the chain of discussion on these threads
