^ I fell asleep during the Eagles game last night. :/ Last I remember they were leading 17-16. Then I woke up and it was the postgame show. Oh well. It's because I was on the road for 12 hours, coming back from South Carolina, my new favorite state. Stayed at Kiawah Island Golf Resort and played some of the best golf I've ever played on the ocean course, which is where the 2012 PGA Championship was played. Naturally, I didn't exactly shoot a low score due to the inherent difficulty of the course, but the course was in great shape and I was hitting the ball well, so I was happy. That was on Friday, and the weather was perfect: sunny and high around 59... probably was around the mid-50s with some wind on the golf course, so I was neither too cold nor warm wearing a thermal shirt underneath a windbreaker. Saw some alligators on the golf course. First time I've ever seen one not in captivity. Before this trip, I didn't even know they had them that far north.
Also went into Charleston on Saturday, and my, what a fantastic city. Had probably the best fried chicken I've ever had at this quaint little place. It was a nice change to see vegetation that stays so green in that little corner of the state this time of year. Lovely state, lovely people, lovely accents. If only the same were remotely true of NJ...
Only "bad" weather was yesterday. Encountered some heavy downpours in both South and North Carolina on the highway, but then it was clear after that.
