I would most definitely be very unhappy if I had to live in Malta - far too hot and dry for me Far too crowded (3500 ppl per square mile - yikes ), and not being able to drive off-island to anywhere else, I'd go nutz...lol. For me, it'd be a truly horrid place to live.
When I hear about places such as Malta and Hawaii (another place you couldn't pay me enough to live in), it sure makes me glad I live on a big, spacious continent with lots and lots of room to move around - and lots of yummy climates to choose from as well.

Yes I hate islands. Even though I live on an island it isn't that bad because it's pretty big so you can drive and drive and drive for hours, whereas in Malta you could drive to the other end in like half an hour. Don't think i'd like that. Remember when I went to the canaries and it was like that, it was very boring and did not have much in it. It was 2,000 miles away aswell. Never again.
I love in america the way you can drive for miles and miles and always have somewhere new to explore.

You could fit the Maltese Islands within the area of the M25
Being a small crowded Island doesn't bother me one bit, like I said I already live on a tiny crowded Island, Portsmouth is apparently the 12th most densely populated place in Europe...
Lol, Malta was a British colony for about 150 years. They even drive on the left there, the only other European nation to do so besides the ROI.
Indeed, Malta has very close ties to the UK still, as well as speaking English you can still find British telephone boxes in Valletta & because it only gained independence in 1964 many Maltese emigrated to the UK & vise versa (my other half is half Maltese for instance). Malta is still part of the commonwealth too...
