Briefly, it stayed at 74 F for two hours at sunrise, with a dewpoint of 67 F.
At midnight it was still 77 F with a dewpoint of 65 F.
Woke up at 8 am to a bedroom temp between 82.5- 84 F (28.5-29 C). Perhaps some of that was sun heat.
I'm sure those are conditions that would make most Southerners shudder.
And...
Today's forecast high is 93 F (34 C); hottest day since 2008.
Funny. I actually have lows right there about 75% of the time in the summer (if I add or lower it'd be near 100% of the time as we almost never have lows above 80). The AC is ran constantly for half the year and comes on at a cycle so most of the time we can't open the windows even if its actually going to be comfortable at night (being 70 or below).
I'm happy that I do not have to see an open road for a month.
My dad is happy the cantalopes (spell?) are bouncing back for him and wants me to wish the 100 degree heat away as it would crush them and wish back in another streak of constant thunderstorms in the afternoon. Our averages in summer are good for that fruit but a heat wave crushes them as we barely are in a good zone for them (I think...).
