We came just 1 degree shy of the record high yesterday in Indianapolis. We officially hit 78F. Some places around here did hit 80F, though. A cold front came through overnight with much more November like weather for a while now with highs mainly in the 50s and lows in the 30s.
1.1" of liquid equivalent precipitation yesterday for a total of 1.4" MTD. Normal MTD would be 1.0". Should be pretty dry for the upcoming week though so it's still possible the month will end up drier than average.
Temperature wise, if the weekly forecast resolves, the average for the rest of the month (Nov 17-30) would need to be only 32.1F to result in an average (35.8F) month. That seems somewhat unlikely, but hardly impossible as the historical average temperature on Nov 23 (the midpoint of Nov 17-30) is 32F.
This has been an absolutely gorgeous fall. Its nearly mid-November and not only do we still have some lovely fall colour, a silver maple on my street is STILL a summer green!!!!
A lot of green still actually. A lilac in my backyard has green leaves still.
