Murky perhaps, but GFS is coming into greater agreement that there will be very little cold anywhere over the next 14-16 days across most of the US. That means for a good chunk of November.

Quite a cold snap late last week. Got down to 27F this past Thursday morning! Broke previous record low of 30F for that date.

High temps now back in the low 80's though humidity is on the low side. Mid 80's coming the middle of the week with an increase in humidity. Frontal system the end of the week should bring more seasonal temps and hopefully a decent rainfall.

The first half of November will easily be much warmer than the last week of October here. We had snowy days with a good accumulation and a whole week of sub-freezing highs and lows below -10°C/14°F. Now the snow melted, the lows are only slightly below freezing and the highs are getting close to the 40s / 5°C+. This would be considered a cold start for November almost anywhere else but here in Saskatoon it means above average temperatures.

Some maps for the next week or so from the ECMWF

And a look at the longer range from the CFSV2

And for the first week of winter according to today's CFSv2. I know just eye candy

Maybe a couple shots of cold air but they will be in and out. A little coolish in the 5-10 but not much. The pattern is overall a torch going forward. No doubt about it.

Look at the 10-15 day. I bet we hit +70 degrees
