True but still this is a big pattern change with some significant rain and mountain snow which is a welcome sign out west. Let's see if it actually lasts though and not just a short blip.
Not bad here for the first day of October. High was 84F here 86F at MDW and 85F at O'Hare
Unfortunately for the east coast we are back to dews in the 50’s and 60’s and upper 60’s temp for October. We had some fall conditions for the last few days but now it’s looking like a torch again. But I guess the west needs the cooler and wetter conditions. God knows they need it
Lets see if there will be any media coverage on the pattern change out west?
I remember last year early September there were flash freezes and Record early snows in WY, CO, WY, MT, NE, SD. Upper Low was over that region. About time we see this happening this year.
Yesterday was quite warm by October standards in Chicago. Not record breaking but still.
A wet weekend but it won't be a complete washout. Hopefully it won't rain for my kid's football game this afternoon. Temps will still remain above normal continuing September's above normal anomalies as listed below
A highly amplified east/west pattern for the next couple weeks
Nice to see the Jet stream dipping but man I need that dip on the otherside for the next 5 months! lolol
Looks like a 1-2 punch. Ridge moves east tomorrow, cold air moves in, Another shot of cold next week for them. Nothing extreme but just a nice pattern change with cooler temps, moisture, and high elevation snows.
1pm temps 75 degrees here 80F at Midway and 77F up at ORD under mostly cloudy skies. Might see some scattered showers and thunderstorms over the next few hours
86 NIIIIIICE degrees at the Hammocks SW Miami-Dade, Feels great outside.
Blazing 90's in my area. Maybe mid 90's for Tampa as we have our hottest temps in the fall the last few years. I see 90's will into Nov.
