Bam Weather is saying that this October will be quite different from last

I still think that the second half of October will be cool here. We'll see.

2pm temps 84F here and 81F at both Chicago airports

Awesome Fall pattern happening!! Dews in the 40s. Temps in the 60s. Nice breeze. Gonna be a nice 7 day stretch!

But disappointing to see the models showing double digit temp at 850mb coming up in October.

Normal is 9°C at 5000 feet over us here.. So Above Normal Pattern In October Lets hope something changes

Data here is for Danbury, CT.

still pretty warm here, forecast says we'll have another 28c high on monday. Normal monthly october high is 18c.

humid as well, we still have dps around 17-18c and there's this hazy atmosphere that's typical of the season, with the sun that goes through the blue/white sky.

If this happens in 3 months it would mean snow to the south while tropical in the northeast. Latest GFS says a Vortex (Upper Low) barrels southbound next week.

But since its October it will just mean a nice refreshing crisp below avg air

All of our falls have been above normal since 2011.

Here's my winter prediction
A Warmer than average west
Some corner of the east will be hot(southeast or northeast)
Expect polar vortexes in the central time zone
Also expect near record warmth to come after cold spells.

Enjoy

Great Lakes & Northern Plains
Similar to the Northeast, folks across the Great Lakes and the north-central U.S. should brace for a colder-than-normal winter with snowy spells throughout most of the season.

“It’s going to be a busy one in the northern Plains and Great Lakes this year,” Pastelok said, adding that the regions will get a combination of bitterly cold air and above-normal snowfall.

Winter will start off strong with snowstorms tracking from the foothills of the Rockies through the Great Lakes, providing early-season snow for many of the favorite snow-related activities, such as skiing, snowmobiling or winter-themed festivals.

That heat can stay away from here! lol The strange anomaly is that north of Michigan the temperatures are similar clear to Hudson Bay in extreme northern Ontario. But the cold is marching in in the western half of the continent.
