More blazing 92's and 93's today. I keep asking myself is it Aug? Nasty insane dew points. And once the cane goes north of us and we get a southwest flow the dew points will be even worse. No fall for sure here and not gonna be ever again.

Ä°zmit is also smilar these days (at least, the actual temperatures).
We are also having highs in 33's here. Same. Is it the best Florida can do in October, really? I am not satisfied because even Ä°zmit is having same highs these days
However, dewpoint is about 13°C here.

Every fall just gets hotter and hotter since 2011. Just unreal how much hotter it is vs the 1970's and 80's when we saw 30's and 40's in Oct. Now we are lucky to see low 60's anymore.
Hurricane Δ is forecast to bring us some rain over the weekend in TN.
Luckily, it seems that Delta weakened before hitting Mexico, and they've downgraded it so that as of right now it's looking like it will probably be a Cat 2 at landfall with the Gulf Coast, instead of a 3 or higher. There's still a lot of uncertainty two days out, though. Still could be a major hurricane.
Supposed to get up to 84 today! I got as much cool air inside this morning as I could. Closed the windows up. Still sitting at 71 inside. Around sunset I'll open up again. It's been cooling off quickly.
I can tell the leaves are definitely starting to change. It's no longer just some odd leaves here and there. Trees are really starting it up. Without this absurd number of tropical systems, it really would be pretty dry right now. I'm hoping Delta's rain doesn't wash/blow off the colors that have already started. And if it does hopefully we're still early enough to get some great color in a couple of weeks.
Weather's been wonky. After that much cooler than avg stretch in Sept, we're gonna be above average from now til after next week. 81 next Monday and Tuesday and then beautiful mid 70s the rest of the week. Lows nice and in the low 60s to upper 50s. Then the 10-15 day shows a cool down with the coolest temps so far. A few days in a row in the low 40s only getting to 64/65. But it's early, we'll see what happens.
Overall can't complain too much even if it hasn't been perfect. Haven't used my A/C in weeks. Still haven't used my heat
Climate Zones of Pennsylvania, whoops I mean fall foliage
Certainly shows the dividing line clearly between peaking/near peaking areas and those that have just started. Clear line between warm transitional/subtropical (green) and continental/cold continental (yellow to red)
Forgot to mention just how wet this year has been.
Through today we've already gotten 58" of rain. Normal for the whole year is around 50. YTD is around 42.
October is usually dry but things really pick up in late November and December is one of the wettest of the year. Could be a record breaking year. Right now 2020 is neck and neck with 2013. 2009 was the wettest of the last 20 years, but we had a freak flood event Sept 09 which dumped a foot of rain in less than a week...

It was around this time 4 years ago I took a trip from Lancaster to Maine. Lancaster barely had anything in terms of fall color. It wasn't until I got to around Allentown/Bethlehem that I could see a difference. And then a very stark difference to the north once I started getting towards Stroudsburg and area.
I think a lot of these blow torch forecast in the medium/long range are going to fail. I see high latitude blocking beginning to develop and this may be the pattern moving forward into winter
