What’s shocking to me is how Atlanta ended up above normal for the month when the last 2 weeks have either been at or well below normal. I don’t recall any intense heat waves there in September.
So basically the next 10 days will feature well below average temps. Look at that lobe of cold air drop over the eastern Great Lakes and Ohio Valley next week

Our avg high is gonna end up about 3 degrees below avg. It's the lows that are a little above average.
Made it to 48/49. Made it below 70 in my room for the first time. Turned the fan completely off last night.
Warmed up to 71 and it's just absolutely beautiful. Clear skies all around. Brilliant sunshine. Feels nice in the shade and great in the sun. I do wish it were in the upper 70s since this is a little cool for late Sept/early Oct. But sheesh I can't really complain too much about this. Just hate that I'm stuck inside working!
Tomorrow will be in the mid 70s and I can't wait. Forecast out to 15 days just bounces around 70 to 76/77.
Low temps in the upper 40s this week and next week looks like it'll warm up a little to the upper 50s which will be perfect.
just saw Oct may be below avg here. What I'm hoping is that Nov and Dec at least are above average. Then we'll have low 70s/upper 60s for a long time.

Low of 52 F this morning. Highs in the 70s. Finally an autumn in Georgia that isn't hot. It's getting more difficult thanks to those hotter waters in the western Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico.
I predict the leaves will be near or at their peak around your birthday too
This week's cold shot and the dry weather might speed things up. Outside my house now.
But temps are supposed to flip back to summer around my birthday. Look at the blowtorch forecast from the GFS for Oct 12th for the Midwest and really much of the country

If they still only made real trucks like that Ranger. Miss small trucks. Had a 63f here this AM coldest temp in Sept since Sept 17th 1981 when Tampa was 62 and then 58f the next morning if i remember right. Summer comes back by Sunday.

I drive the GMC Yukon parked in my driveway. I love it. So much room and it's a tank. I always drive my kids around so I need it for now. I think that I'll buy a modern hotrod in a couple years. I've been eyeing the Dodge Challenger Hellcat
All we managed to reach for the last day of September was 66F here 68F at MDW and 67F at ORD. It was mostly sunny though. The next four days will be much cooler with highs only in the 50s..
Got down to 50F here last night. Then warmed up to 83F this afternoon and dewpoint got down to 39F.
Just saw that in September 2018 & 2019 we never managed to get below 65F... We got to the low 50's in Sept 2015 & 2016.
