Our trees not only still have leaves, but are still mostly green. We've gotten about 0.8" (2.0 cm) of sleet and 0.1" (0.25 cm) of freezing rain, with more to come.

The diurnal range in Nashville on Monday, October 26 was the smallest of any day in 2020 so far, at a measly 4 F / 2.2 C.

High 59 F / 15 C, low 55 F / 13 C.

Last time it was this low was 3 F / 1.6 C on March 2, 2019, high 43 F / 6 C, low 40 F / 4 C that day.

Drizzly, dreary weather for my test drive of a 2021 Honda Odyssey Elite at 10:00 am. Some may not like drizzly, cloudy weather but for test driving a van (or a car)... it's perfect. A lot better than blazing sun in your eyes. I definitely have preferred my overcast test drives to my sunny ones, weather wise.

The weather on the dates I have test driven cars:
10/26/20 10 am: 56 F / 14 C, overcast, light drizzle + mist
09/26/20 10 am: 69 F / 21 C, overcast
01/20/20 4 pm: 25 F / -4 C, overcast
07/15/19 1 pm: 83 F / 28 C, overcast
03/23/19 4 pm: 62 F / 16 C, mostly cloudy - high clouds
08/11/18 3 pm: 92 F / 33 C, partly cloudy (it was a Tesla Model S P100D, so... )
07/21/18 4 pm: 89 F / 31 C, mostly cloudy (there were 2 this day, minutes apart!)
12/15/15 4 pm: 65 F / 18 C, sunny
10/05/15 4 pm: 85 F / 29 C, mostly cloudy - high clouds
07/02/15 4 pm: 80 F / 27 C, mostly cloudy
05/26/15 afternoon: 75 F / 24 C, mostly cloudy

Wow I really need to test drive cars in more diverse temperatures, only one of them was cold outside, most of them were warm to hot.

Actual Max Temperature Departures each day since October 15th. Almost 2 weeks of below normal daytime temps but an impressive 30+ below some days. I Highlighted the 20+ below areas.

Watch yesterday. Huge area of 20+ below.

WHOA! Rapid City broke record cold max 4 days in a row and 7 of the last 9 days! WOW!
The 14°F was a record for month of October.
The 29° on Oct 22nd didn't beat the 28° in 2002

Well, I'm starting to believe our drought has been busted. Complain about no rain long enough and you get rain, I guess? After the longest period in recorded history of less than a tenth of an inch of rainfall in Indianapolis, including the driest September on record, October is officially sitting at 4.19 inches, more than an inch above normal, and pretty much all of that has fallen in the past 10 days. And starting tomorrow night through Thursday night, we could see another 2-4 inches of rain.

LOL! Throw those plant hardiness zones out the window if you're in Laramie, WY. -26F temperature recorded this morning in the month of October.

Finally eyeing up some temperatures below 80 on Friday and Monday. Nightly lows maybe in the 50's. I'll believe it when I see it. October has been horrid. It used to be nice (10/12 years ago).

West of Dallas this morning. Might be our furthest south point of stickage for this one? #October
